Hi! Welcome to GSARevolution, the Gaming Site of America. We try to give our two cents to each game as fair as possible, and to as many games as possible, but we are few, so don't cry!

It's here on this site that we do what we're good at. We make opinions on games. Not all of them are good, as what isn't biased on any review? Nonetheless, we hope you enjoy them or get off our site.
We are gamers who game with some sort of passion, but are still trying to save money for every day life! If you're a gamer, but don't want to spend all your life money on hard core gaming, these reviews are for you. There's another life out there other than video games, and it doesn't have any cheats. We voice our opinions here, but would love to hear yours! Check out our forums as well! Dear School Committee Members, The use of a quality novel such as Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner in our school systems will be controversial, but, for the students as well as their parents, is completely laudable. The novel is famous for its graphic descriptions of the Middle East, sins, questions about life, but most importantly for the resurging themes within. Many parents will say that the novel is inappropriate; however, it is more than suitable for the students to read a book which allows them a new outlook on the world in which they live. One of the biggest problems many people see with the novel is the insight it offers on wars in the Middle East. The novel vividly describes the wastelands that are now Afghanistan. What was once a beautiful land is now a wasted battlefield where land mines go off consistently. Obviously this could be considered objectionable considering the current state of conflict. Still, it is obvious that the students themselves are more than ready to get real descriptions of a land in which the United States is fighting. Statistics show that teenagers know more about politics and have stronger opinions than many adults do. Novels like The Kite Runner, while considered to be unnerving, are really only enhancing the future of the country. The students now have a creative outlet for their political opinions, and that in itself should have an immense amount of value. Another point to made in favor of The Kite Runner is that it offers a realistic perspective on the world today. Contrary to the belief of many people, the world is a cruel place. No character can emanate that more than the wicked Assef, who rapes children for fun, kills adults as a job, and has a very powerful position in the new state of Afghanistan. Constantly, in this world, people become megalomaniacal and lose their minds in plots like ethnic cleansing. Their own prejudices unfortunately rise them to power. This is a disgusting truth. If people read this book and take offense at the fact that such an evil man gained so much power, then they are brutally unaware of the crimes being committed every day in this world. Teachers have the responsibility of informing their students about the real world, no matter how grim the lesson may be. By choosing a controversial but amazing story in The Kite Runner, they are furthering the progress of the next generation. Not only does the novel allow for new opinions on war and the modern world, it also allows for a possible disintegration of popular stereotypes. Many people within the country (both young and old) feel that they are superior to other races or groups of people, particularly immigrants which enter our country. Illegal immigrants are viewed with much contempt as they are seen to "take American jobs". Hopefully, through reading this novel, the new generation will understand that it is not right to judge a person just by their race. The main characters in this novel blatantly prove that people from other countries are as human, if not more so, than the people of America. If the population can seek to eliminate such stereotypes, as Khaled Hosseini has done in his novel, then possibly over time we will reach a society where nationality is not a major source of discrimination. Finally, one must look at the book itself and the interest level of the high school students. Summer reading is necessary, but by no means popular. No student (or worker, for that matter) wants to use their free time to do homework or other tasks related to the regular work day. However, amongst students, The Kite Runner is one of the most popular books. When picking up this novel, students had a better reason to read than the upcoming assessments during the school year. They read out of pure delight, and learned while doing so. It is extremely difficult for a teacher to meet both the educational standpoint and the emotional standpoint of their students. Clearly, Hosseini’s novel has facilitated this search immensely. The Kite Runner is extremely controversial. It is impossible not to feel an impact as one reads this novel. But this impact is exactly the reason why the novel needs to be a part of our school system, and exactly why it is such a pleasure to read. Sincerely, Alison Heleen
